Energy Capacity Ratings

Gold Line™ and SILVERLINE™ Series

After determining the energy requirements of your shock absorber application, select the bore and stroke size that will do the job from the chart below. Enertrols recommends that you select a model with 20% more capacity than your calculations indicate necessary. This extra capacity allows for changes if the weight, velocity,* or cycle rates should increase in the future.

We also recommend that you consider using the longest stroke possible when doing your calculations. This will provide maximum deceleration performance with the lowest reaction (impact) forces for added protection of your equipment or product. Once you have determined the Type, Model, Bore Size and Stroke you require, refer to "How to Order" page to specify the exact shock absorber and options you need. If there is any doubt, please contact your local representative, or the Enertrols factory, for assistance. There is no obligation and we will be happy to help you.

* Recommended Velocity Range 1-15 Ft. Per Sec. for all Gold Line™ Series models. For lower velocities, see our SILVERLINE™ Series. For velocities over 15 ft./sec., consult factory.
